  2. In a heatproof bowl, melt the butter and dark chocolate together in the microwave or over a double boiler.

  4. Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture to the sugar and eggs, stirring until smooth.
  5. Sift in the flour and cocoa powder, and add the vanilla extract and salt. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
