Ingredients
  • 1 cup Dates
  • 1 cup Walnuts
  • 1.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter
  • 0.5 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 unit Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup Milk
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a mini loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in the dates and walnuts.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Slice and serve.
