  4. Place a spoonful of the mushroom filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold the dough over to form a half-moon shape and seal the edges.
  5. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pierogies in batches for about 3-4 minutes or until they float to the surface.
  6. In a separate pan, melt butter and sauté cooked pierogies until golden brown.
  7. Serve hot with sour cream, fresh parsley, and additional sautéed mushrooms if desired.
