  2. Melt the white chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl over simmering water. Stir until smooth.

  4. Add the melted white chocolate mixture to the sugar and eggs, and mix well.
  5. In another bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with milk and vanilla extract.
  7. Fold in the cranberries.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
