Melt the white chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl over simmering water.

Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture to the sugar and eggs, whisking continuously.

In another bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Fold the dry ingredients into the chocolate mixture, alternating with the milk and vanilla extract.
