  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, pudding mix, drained pineapple, chopped pecans, shredded coconut, vegetable oil, water, and eggs. Mix until well combined.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  6. Once the cake is cooled, spread the whipped topping over the top.
  7. Decorate with maraschino cherries.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
