Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).

Roll out the pie crust and line a pie dish with it.

Peel, core, and slice the apples.

In a large bowl, mix together the sugar, flour, and cinnamon.

Add the sliced apples and lemon juice to the bowl and toss until the apples are coated.

Pour the apple mixture into the prepared pie crust.

Dot the top of the apples with small pieces of butter.

Roll out the remaining pie crust and place it on top of the apple filling.

Press the edges of the crust together to seal.

Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.

Bake the pie for 45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the apples are tender.

Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
