  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a 9x9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the gluten-free all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and salt.
  3. Cut in the vegan butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Press the mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan and bake for 15 minutes.
  5. While the crust is baking, prepare the pecan filling. In a medium saucepan, combine the pecan halves, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cornstarch, and water.
