  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the sugar, oil, applesauce, vanilla extract, and red food coloring.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the non-dairy milk. Mix until well combined.
  5. Stir in the white vinegar.
  6. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
