Peel and chop the potatoes, carrots, onion, and garlic.

In a large pot, boil the potatoes until tender. Drain and mash them with a fork or potato masher.

Add the carrots, peas, vegetable stock, tomato paste, mixed herbs, salt, and black pepper to the pan. Cook for 5 minutes.
