Vegetables and Ground Meat Pie
The first meat pie recipe dates back to ancient Egypt, where it was made with a mixture of meat, honey, and spices.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.

Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened.

Stir in the carrots, peas, corn, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and dried thyme. Simmer for 10 minutes.

Roll out one pie crust and place it in a pie dish. Pour the meat and vegetable mixture into the crust.

Roll out the second pie crust and place it on top of the filling. Seal the edges and cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.

In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and milk. Brush the mixture over the top crust.

Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.

Allow the pie to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
