Ingredients
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 cup Coconut oil
  • 0.75 cup Maple syrup
  • 0.75 cup Almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon zest
  • 0.5 cup Chopped walnuts
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, turmeric powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the coconut oil, maple syrup, almond milk, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until well combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped walnuts.
  6. Pour the batter into the greased cake pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
