Ingredients
  • 500 gram Potatoes
  • 300 gram All-purpose flour
  • 1 piece Onion
  • 2 teaspoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Water
Instructions
  1. Boil the potatoes until tender, then mash them.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, flour, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth.
  4. Roll out the dough and cut out circles using a round cookie cutter.
  5. Place a spoonful of the potato filling onto each circle.
  6. Fold the dough over the filling and seal the edges by pressing with a fork.
  7. Boil the pierogies in salted water until they float to the surface.
  8. In a separate pan, sauté the onion in olive oil until golden brown.
  9. Serve the pierogies with the sautéed onions on top.
