Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Add the butter, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.

Divide the batter into separate bowls and add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl. Mix well to create vibrant colors.

Grease a cake pan and pour the colored batter into the pan, alternating colors to create a tie-dye effect.

Use a toothpick or skewer to gently swirl the colors together.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
