Ingredients
  • 1 pound Turkey
  • 1 cup Carrots
  • 1 cup Peas
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 stalk Celery
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 4 tablespoon Butter
  • 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 cup Chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 package Frozen dumplings
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tablespoon Water
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion, celery, and garlic, and cook until softened.
  3. Add the turkey and cook until browned. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and milk. Add the carrots, peas, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a 9-inch pie dish.
  6. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg and water. Place the frozen dumplings on top of the turkey mixture, then brush the dumplings with the egg wash.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the dumplings are golden brown.
  8. Let the pot pie rest for 10 minutes before serving.
