  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line a round cake pan.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate and unsalted butter together in a heatproof bowl over simmering water.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, all-purpose flour, and cocoa powder.
  4. Add the melted chocolate mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well.
  5. In another bowl, beat the eggs and vanilla extract together. Add this to the chocolate mixture and mix until well combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Once cooled, brush the top of the cake with truffle oil.
  10. Serve slices of the truffle cake with whipped cream and fresh berries on the side.
