Tres Leches Cake is a traditional Mexican dessert that gets its name from the three different types of milk used in the recipe: whole milk, evaporated milk, and sweetened condensed milk.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking dish.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the cake flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with the milk, mixing just until incorporated. Pour batter into prepared pan.

Bake for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.

In a small bowl, whisk together the whole milk, evaporated milk, and sweetened condensed milk. Pour over the top of the cooled cake.

In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream with the powdered sugar until thick. Spread over the top of the cake. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Serve slices of cake with a dollop of whipped cream and fresh fruit on top.
