  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. Roll out the pie crust and line a pie dish.
  3. Peel, core, and slice the apples.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and salt.
  5. Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust.
  6. Dot the top of the filling with small pieces of butter.
  7. Cover the pie with the remaining pie crust and seal the edges.
  8. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
