In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Gradually add ice water, tossing with a fork until the dough holds together when pressed.

Divide the dough in half and shape into two discs. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out one disc of dough on a lightly floured surface and fit into a pie dish.

Fill with your desired pie filling and cover with the second rolled-out disc of dough. Seal the edges and cut slits on the top crust for venting.

Bake for 30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown. Allow to cool before serving.
