  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line a loaf tin.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and caster sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in the toffee sauce.
  5. Peel and core the apples, then chop into small pieces. Fold the chopped apples and walnuts into the cake batter.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf tin and smooth the top. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the tin for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Once cooled, drizzle with additional toffee sauce if desired. Slice and serve.
