Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the package instructions.

Crush 2 Butterfinger candy bars and fold them into the cake batter.

Pour the batter into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

Bake for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.

Gradually add the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract, and continue beating until well combined.

Fold in the whipped topping.

Once the cake has cooled, spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the top.

Crush the remaining 2 Butterfinger candy bars and sprinkle them over the cream cheese layer.
