The Beast Cake is named after its rich and indulgent flavor, which is said to be fit for a beastly appetite.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk and sour cream. Mix until just combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until just simmering. Remove from heat and add the chocolate. Let it sit for a minute, then stir until smooth.

Once the cake has cooled, pour the chocolate ganache over the top and let it drip down the sides. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and chocolate sprinkles.

Allow the ganache to set for at least 1 hour before serving.
