Ingredients
  • 1.5 cup Rolled oats
  • 1.5 cup Desiccated coconut
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 stick Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Golden syrup
  • 0.5 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 2 tablespoon Boiling water
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, desiccated coconut, all-purpose flour, and granulated sugar.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt the butter and golden syrup over low heat.
  4. In a separate small bowl, dissolve the baking soda in boiling water, then add it to the butter mixture.
  5. Pour the butter mixture into the dry ingredients and mix well.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space between each biscuit.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Allow the biscuits to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
