  • 2 pound Apples
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1/2 cup Caramel Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Pectin
  • 1/4 cup Water
Instructions
  1. Peel and core the apples, then chop them into small pieces.
  2. In a large pot, combine the apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the apples are tender and the mixture has thickened, about 30 minutes.
  4. In a separate small saucepan, heat the caramel sauce over low heat until warm.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the pectin with water until dissolved.
  6. Stir the pectin mixture into the apple mixture and continue cooking for an additional 15 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in the warmed caramel sauce.
  8. Let the jam cool for 10 minutes, then transfer to sterilized jars.
  9. Allow the jam to cool completely before sealing the jars.
  10. Store in the refrigerator and enjoy on toast, with yogurt, or as a topping for desserts.
