In a large skillet, sauté the ground beef until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, sauté the onion, carrot, and potato until slightly softened.

Add the ground beef back to the skillet along with the frozen peas, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, flour, butter, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.

Simmer for 10 minutes, then transfer the mixture to a pie dish.

Roll out the puff pastry and cover the pie dish, sealing the edges.

Beat the egg and brush it over the pastry.
