  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, cardamom, and salt.
  2. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the milk and heat until warm.
  3. Pour the warm milk mixture into the dry ingredients and mix well.
  4. Add the egg and knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
  5. Cover the dough with a clean kitchen towel and let it rest for 1 hour.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and shape each piece into a roll.
  8. Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Brush the rolls with beaten egg and sprinkle pearl sugar on top.
  10. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  11. Remove from the oven and let the rolls cool on a wire rack.
