Ingredients
  • 1.5 cup Pumpkin puree
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup Vegetable oil
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Cream cheese
  • 0.5 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, sugar, oil, and eggs. Mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. In the meantime, prepare the cream cheese frosting by beating the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  9. Once the cake has cooled, spread the cream cheese frosting evenly over the top.
  10. Serve and enjoy!
