Peel, core, and slice the apples.

In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.

Add the milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and eggs to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.

Pour half of the batter into the prepared cake pan. Arrange the sliced apples on top. Pour the remaining batter over the apples.
