  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Heat a large skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in the chili beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Spread half of the Fritos corn chips in the bottom of a baking dish. Top with half of the beef mixture and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Repeat the layers.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Let the Frito Pie rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  7. Garnish with sour cream and sliced green onions.
