  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a blender, blend the strawberries until smooth. Set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the milk and vanilla extract. Set aside.
  4. In a separate mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  6. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk mixture, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
  11. Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the cake.
  12. Pour the strawberry puree over the cake, making sure it fills the holes.
  13. Refrigerate the cake for 1 hour.
  14. Spread whipped cream over the top of the cake.
  15. Sprinkle with sprinkles.
  16. Slice and serve.
