  1. Prepare the chocolate cake as per the instructions and let it cool.
  2. Slice the strawberries and set aside.
  3. Melt the dark chocolate in a microwave or double boiler.
  4. In a separate bowl, whip the cream until soft peaks form.
  5. In a small bowl, bloom the gelatin in cold water for 5 minutes.
  6. In a saucepan, heat the bloomed gelatin, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until dissolved.
  7. Gradually pour the gelatin mixture into the whipped cream while continuously whisking.
  8. Add the melted chocolate to the cream mixture and fold gently until well combined.

  10. Place the chocolate cake at the bottom of the pan.
  11. Pour half of the mousse mixture on top of the cake.
  12. Arrange the sliced strawberries on top of the mousse.

  14. Smooth the top with a spatula.
  15. Refrigerate the cake for at least 3 hours or until set.
  16. Once set, remove the cake from the pan and decorate with additional strawberries.
