  • 200 gram All-purpose flour
  • 150 gram Granulated sugar
  • 4 unit Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Water
Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy.
  2. Add the vanilla extract and salt, and mix well.
  3. Sift in the flour and baking powder, and gently fold until just combined.
  4. Gradually add water while stirring until the batter is smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
  6. Steam the cake over high heat for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Remove from heat and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  8. Carefully remove the cake from the pan and let it cool completely before serving.
