Ingredients
  • 12 piece Pierogi
  • 2 pound Potatoes
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the pierogi according to the package instructions.
  3. In a large pot, boil the potatoes until tender. Drain and mash with butter, sour cream, salt, and black pepper.
  4. In a skillet, sauté the onion and garlic until golden brown.
  5. In a greased casserole dish, layer half of the mashed potatoes, followed by half of the sautéed onions and garlic, and half of the cheddar cheese. Repeat the layers.
  6. Arrange the cooked pierogi on top of the casserole.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Let the casserole rest for 10 minutes before serving.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
