Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a kouglof cake mold.

In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate bowl, cream the butter and eggs until light and fluffy. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.

Divide the batter in half. In one half, add the sakura extract and pink food coloring. Mix well.

Pour the pink batter into the greased cake mold, followed by the plain batter. Use a skewer or knife to create a marbled effect.

Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the mold for 10 minutes. Then, transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, dust the cake with powdered sugar and garnish with sakura petals.
