Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, instant chocolate pudding mix, milk, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix well.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

While the cake is baking, crush the chocolate sandwich cookies in a ziplock bag using a rolling pin.

In a separate bowl, combine the crushed cookies with the green food coloring until fully coated.

Once the cake is baked, let it cool for 10 minutes, then crumble it into a large bowl.

Layer the crumbled cake, chocolate wafer cookies, and colored cookie crumbs in a trifle dish or a serving dish.

Decorate the top of the cake with Oreo cookies, gummy worms, candy bones, and marshmallow ghosts as desired.

Use decorator icing to add spooky designs, such as tombstones or spiderwebs.
