Ingredients
  • 500 gram Chicken Breast
  • 200 gram Spinach
  • 1 piece Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 2 tablespoon Flour
  • 250 milliliter Milk
  • 250 milliliter Chicken Stock
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry
  • 1 piece Egg
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan and cook chicken breast until fully cooked. Remove from the pan and shred the chicken.
  3. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté onion and garlic until translucent. Add spinach and cook until wilted.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir well. Gradually pour in milk and chicken stock while stirring continuously. Cook until the sauce thickens.
  5. Add shredded chicken, salt, and black pepper to the sauce. Mix well.
  6. Roll out the puff pastry and line a pie dish with it. Pour the chicken and spinach mixture into the dish.
  7. Cover the pie with another sheet of puff pastry. Trim the excess pastry and crimp the edges.
  8. Beat the egg and brush it over the pastry.
  9. Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
  10. Allow the pie to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
