Ingredients
  • 200 gram Spinach
  • 500 gram Potato
  • 1 piece Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 piece Eggs
  • 100 gram Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1 piece Pie Crust
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add spinach to the pan and cook until wilted. Remove from heat and set aside.
  4. In a separate pot, boil the potatoes until tender. Drain and mash them.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine mashed potatoes, cooked spinach mixture, milk, eggs, grated cheddar cheese, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg. Mix well.
  6. Roll out the pie crust and line a pie dish with it. Pour the spinach and potato mixture into the crust.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes or until the pie is golden brown.
  8. Allow the pie to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
  9. Slice and serve the spinach and potato pie.
