Ingredients
  • 1 pound Ground turkey
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic cloves
  • 1 medium Red bell pepper
  • 1 pepper Jalapeno pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 package Pie crust
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tablespoon Water
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground turkey over medium heat until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté the onion, garlic, red bell pepper, and jalapeno pepper until softened.
  4. Add the cooked turkey back to the skillet and stir in the chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. Roll out the pie crust and cut into circles using a round cookie cutter.
  6. Place a spoonful of the turkey mixture onto each circle of pie crust.
  7. Fold the pie crust over the filling and press the edges together to seal.
  8. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water. Brush the egg wash over the tops of the hand pies.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  10. Allow the hand pies to cool for a few minutes before serving.
