  • 4 cup Peaches
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup Buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 beaten Egg
  • 1 9-inch Pie crust
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together melted butter, buttermilk, lemon juice, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the buttermilk mixture over the peach mixture and stir until well combined.
  5. Roll out the pie crust and place it in a 9-inch pie dish.
  6. Pour the peach filling into the pie crust.
  7. Brush the edges of the crust with beaten egg.
  8. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool for at least 1 hour before serving.
