  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1 medium Bell pepper
  • 2 clove Garlic cloves
  • 2 teaspoon Chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 cup Tomato sauce
  • 1 cup Corn
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese
  • 1 box Cornbread mix
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 large Egg
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened.
  4. Stir in the chili powder, ground cumin, salt, black pepper, tomato sauce, and corn. Cook for a few minutes until heated through.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a 9-inch pie dish and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
  6. In a separate bowl, prepare the cornbread mix according to package instructions, using milk and egg.
  7. Pour the cornbread batter over the chili mixture in the pie dish.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cornbread is golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Let the pot pie rest for 10 minutes before serving.
