Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, alternating with milk. Mix until just combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once the cake has cooled, spread whipped cream over the top and decorate with fresh fruits.
