  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Cocoa powder
  • 0.5 cup Boiling water
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Milk
  • 0.5 cup Chopped pecans
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the buttermilk and vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in the boiling water.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk to make the glaze. Drizzle the glaze over the warm cake and sprinkle with chopped pecans.
