  2. Heat milk and butter in a small saucepan until butter is melted. Let it cool slightly.
  3. Add the milk mixture and egg to the dry ingredients. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

  7. Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a roll and place them in a greased baking dish.
