In a large pan, cook the chicken and bacon until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.

In the same pan, sauté the onion, garlic, and carrot until softened.

Add the chicken and bacon back to the pan, along with the frozen peas and chicken stock. Simmer for 10 minutes.

In a separate saucepan, melt the butter and stir in the flour. Cook for 1 minute.

Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth. Cook for 2-3 minutes until thickened.

Pour the sauce into the chicken and bacon mixture and stir to combine.

Transfer the mixture to a pie dish.

Roll out the puff pastry and place it over the pie dish, trimming any excess pastry.

Beat the egg and brush it over the pastry.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and cooked through.
