Simple Shepherd’s Pie
Shepherd’s Pie originated in the UK and was traditionally made with leftover roasted meat. It was a way to use up the leftovers and create a hearty and delicious meal.
This is high protein and non vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 70 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 12.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.

Add the onion, carrots, peas, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic to the skillet. Cook for 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.

Meanwhile, peel and dice the potatoes. Place them in a pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and mash with butter, milk, salt, and black pepper.

Transfer the beef mixture to a baking dish. Spoon the mashed potatoes over the top, spreading them evenly.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden brown.

Let the Shepherd's Pie rest for 10 minutes before serving.
