  6. Pour the batter into a greased and lined jelly roll pan.

  9. Invert the cake onto a clean kitchen towel dusted with powdered sugar.
  10. Gently roll the cake with the towel, starting from one side.

  12. Unroll the cake and spread whipped cream and jelly or jam on the surface.
  13. Carefully roll up the cake again.
  14. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
