Ingredients
  • 14 ounce Potatoes
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 cup Onion
  • 4 tablespoon Butter
  • 0.5 cup Sour cream
  • 2 tablespoon Bacon bits
  • 4 ounce Cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoon Fresh parsley
Instructions
  1. Boil potatoes until tender. Drain and mash.
  2. In a large bowl, combine mashed potatoes, flour, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Roll the dough into a thin sheet and cut into circles using a round cutter.
  4. In a large pot of boiling water, cook the pierogies in batches until they float to the surface. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.
  5. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions and cook until caramelized.
  6. Add cooked pierogies to the skillet and fry until golden brown.
  7. Serve pierogies topped with sour cream, bacon bits, cheddar cheese, and parsley.
