Ingredients
  • 1.5 cup Pie crust
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 cup Molasses
  • 1 cup Boiling water
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Cloves
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, and butter until crumbly.
  3. Reserve 1/2 cup of the crumb mixture for topping.
  4. To the remaining crumb mixture, add molasses, boiling water, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, and salt. Mix well.
  5. Pour the mixture into the pie crust.
  6. Sprinkle the reserved crumb mixture on top.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the pie is set and the crust is golden brown.
  8. Allow the pie to cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.
