Shepherd’s Turkey Pie
Shepherd’s Pie traditionally uses lamb, but this variation with turkey is equally delicious and a great way to use leftover Thanksgiving turkey!
This is high protein and non vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 100 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 14.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, heat butter over medium heat. Add onions, garlic, carrots, and cook until onions are translucent.

Add ground turkey to the skillet and cook until browned. Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Add chicken stock, milk, thyme, rosemary, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and let it simmer for 10 minutes.

In a separate pot, boil potatoes until tender. Drain and mash with butter and milk.

Stir frozen peas into the turkey mixture and transfer it to a baking dish.

Spread the mashed potatoes evenly over the turkey mixture.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
