Shepherd’s Pie is traditionally made with lamb, but Gordon Ramsay’s version uses ground beef instead.

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

In a large pan, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Remove any excess fat.

Add the chopped onion, carrots, and peas to the pan. Cook for 5 minutes until the vegetables soften.

Stir in Worcestershire sauce, beef stock, tomato paste, and thyme leaves. Simmer for 10 minutes.

In a separate pot, melt the butter and mix it with milk. Add the mashed potatoes and season with salt and black pepper. Mix well.

Transfer the beef and vegetable mixture to a baking dish. Spread the mashed potatoes evenly on top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until the mashed potatoes turn golden brown.

Allow the Shepherd's Pie to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
